The TLC 10 Stage Carpet Cleaning Process.
- Quotation – On receiving your enquiry, we will arrange to visit your home and inspect your carpets. This serves several purposes.
- We can assess any stains or marks and advise you which may or may not be removable.
- We choose the cleaning system that will achieve the best result for your carpets.
- Assess how and where furniture is to be moved. (Usually, we will ask you to move small items such as ornaments, plants etc before our arrival. We will normally move the larger pieces such as 3 piece suites, dining table etc).
- Measure up and give you a written quotation. Because everybody’s circumstances are different, our quotation will include at least 3 different options.
Our quotations are itemised so that you can pick and choose which rooms you want cleaning. Our pricing structure gives increasing discounts as the total area to be cleaned increases, so the more you have cleaned – the bigger the discount!

2. Pre-vacuuming – Pre-vacuuming is absolutely essential in getting a professional result. Up to 80% of dirt in a carpet is dry, vacuumable, particulate matter.
WARNING – If carpets are not pre-vacuumed, any pre-spray, (next step), will create mud which will sink to the base of the carpet!!
We use professional vacuums with powerful beater brushes which open the pile, allowing efficient removal of soil and, grit etc. (Every inch is covered at least twice and the edges vacuumed with a crevice tool to get into every nook and cranny).
3. Pre-spray – The carpet is sprayed with a mild cleaning agent which is left for a few minutes to emulsify, (loosen) the dirt attached to the carpet fibres, assisting the cleaning process achieve maximum soil removal.
4. Spotting – We attend to any particularly stubborn stains such as tea, coffee, red wine, grease etc, with our range of professional spot removers. This is included in the price quoted. Many of our competitors charge extra for spot cleaning!
5. Cleaning Process – Most domestic carpets are ideally suited to our low moisture cleaning system. The agitation of the rotary pads, strips the dirt attached to the carpet, achieving fantastic results and will get carpets dry in as little as 30 minutes! This enables you to get back in the room very quickly. (We repeat this stage until the best possible result is achieved.) Please Note: If the carpet is being stain protected, drying times are normally extended to 2 to 3 hours because this is a spray-on, water based application.
6. Foil Tabs – Once the carpet is clean, where necessary, the furniture is replaced on foil tabs to eliminate any risk of dye transfer from chair legs or rust spots from steel studs etc while the carpet is still drying.
7. Inspection – The carpets are checked to ensure all spots have been treated and removed (if not permanent).
8. Grooming – Pile carpets are groomed to set the pile and assist the final drying.
9. Complimentary Spot Cleaner – On completion, we leave you a complimentary, professional spot cleaner for removing ‘day to day’ marks to help you keep your carpets looking great.
10. Follow-up Call – You’ll receive a call to check you are absolutely delighted with our cleaning. If you have any issues, we will return promptly, at your convenience to address your concerns.
